NEWS BRIEF

  • In case you were wondering, we are here but a little behind in updating our site, so apologies for that. However, we can confirm that we all set for PRAF 2018, as you can see here:

  • Advance tickets have been on sale for some time now and been going fast. But if you've not got your's yet, no need to worry as we've still some left on the door.

  • The specially selected eighteen beers are all here racked-up, cooling and settling nicely - Some of which have even been sampled
  • This year we've even brewed one ourselves (with a little assistance from Ant Stevens of Ledbury Real Ales) which was finished both fined and unfined, so look out for these at the bar.
  • Eight ciders and a perry are are on the shelf.
  • Five wines are here too - Whites and Rose are chilled of course.

  • Our large marquee has been erected and decked with lights.
  • Our stage is set and entertainment schedule complete, to include various bands, traditional morris and contempory dancing groups.

  • Our caterer has set-up and ready to cook us some wonderful meat joints, BBQ and vegetarian foods.
  • Ice cream stall is all whipped-up and ready to go.
  • Homemade cakes now freshly baked by our WI will be provided as usual.
  • Soft drinks, bottled water, savoury snacks and sweet stall is in place too.

  • Our venue continues to be improved year on year thanks to the steadfast dedication of our village hall committee and ground staff, who give so generously of themselves for the benefit of us all - Thank you guys.

  • Provision for camping has been made again this year. Please note that this facility now attracts a £5 / pitch fee to cover additional measures put in place ensure that it's enjoyed by campers and neighbours alike.

  • Our sponsors have been very generous again this year, so please take time to enquire about the services that they provide, when you happen on them during the day.

  • We're always looking for sponsors to cover the ever increasing costs of our beverages and entertainment offerings, so as to maximise our donations to our good causes. So if you'd like to help us to help you; and receive some exposure in the process, then please contact any one of the committee members that are known to you directly, else see Mark and Patricia's contact details on our "Tickets" page - Thank you

  • Our entertainment schedule has yet to be determined, but we are already delighted to confirm the long awaited return of Smoke Room as our headline band for 2018

  • We never advocate voting for a best beer of our festival, but (instead) can report our top three brews from 2017, on the basis of what disappeared first (think this is a fairer method anyway):

1st Tring – Tea Kettle 4.7% (Stout)

2nd Ledbury – Dr Rudi’s Extra Pale + Kohatu (Golden)

3rd Mantle – Dark Heart 5.2% (Porter)

So big THANK YOU to said breweries for producing these excellent brews and please keep up the good work

  • Also to report were our 2017 best / fastest sold out ciders:

Westons - Rosie's Pig Flat Tyre Cider with Rhubarb 4% - 1st Place

Westons - Rosie's Pig Rusted Wheel Cider with Cherry 4% - 2nd Place

Westons - Rosie's Pig Handbrake Cider with Damson 4% - 3rd Place
